Newly built courses, at Reunion - designed by Jack Nicklaus, or Champions Gate, designed by the Great White Shark Greg Norman, come with enormous reputations for their magnificent courses.
Shingle Creek Golf Course offers a rewarding round of golf that will challenge all handicaps and is located only 9 miles from the centre of Orlando. Immaculate greens and long fairways are the order of the day at the ever popular Grand Pines Golf Course. Stoneybrook Golf Course features big bunkers, wide fairways and wetlands abound. Isleworth Golf Course is a taxing 18-hole course with fast greens and lovely rolling hills hiding bunkers and water hazards. Receiving high marks in maintaining its fairways and greens, Magnolia Plantation Golf Club aims to provide a rewarding golf experience for all.
Shopping in Orlando
Orlando takes pride in its malls and boutique shops. The shopping opportunities in Orlando are nearly unfathomable. From little t-shirt and souvenir stores, to mega outlet malls and posh boutiques, shopping is one of Orlando’s favourite activities. Veranda Park is a recent development and is offering a wide array of typical shops. The Florida Mall was greatly expanded in recent years and features your mainstay stores, but also some very unique shops including gourmet dog food.
The Goliath of all shopping complexes must be Prime Outlets Orlando. This is so expansive you’ll need a car to make it all the way around. Premium Outlets also has loads of designer brands at cheap prices. For some kitschy classics head to Antique Row. The Pointe Orlando is a multi-use complex with excellent shopping mixed with eating, drinking and entertaining. In Downtown Disney shopping is an experience rather than an activity.
