Apartment 1 is a small and airy studio apartment that opens through double french windows directly on to a private garden which is equipped with patio furniture and BarBQ.

This studio apartment has been recently fully modernised and decorated to a high level, new kitchen plus gas cooker and micro-wave, fridge, a high quality French 'Clic-Clac' (sofa-bed), dining area and renovated shower, W.C. wash room with small window to the garden - small, but charming.

N.B. Bed Linen, Towels and Beach Towels are NOT included, if required these will be provided at an additional charge of 25 (euros) per person per stay.

There is a washing machine for your use on the first floor at no extra charge.

In the unique and welcoming French Catalan community of Prats-de-Mollo-La Preste, Mediterranean Pyrenees Holidays houses 11 recently renovated holiday apartments It is also the home of the Alan Baxter Pottery Workshop and Gallery.

The splendour of seasonal changes in the surrounding mountains makes Prats-de-Mollo a wonderful place to visit any month of the year. Exceptional area for birds of prey, challenging mountain walks and cycle routes, extreme sports, the Arts and community love of life seen in dance, music and the many restaurants.

The village is located in the most southerly point of France just 13 kilometres from one of the few mountain crossing routes with Spain. It nestles one hour by car inland from the Mediterranean along the Tech river valley within the foothills and the slopes of the mighty Pic du Canigou.

How to reach us by plane

By air, there is now growing competition between various budget airlines to this region.

There are daily flights throughout the year to Perpignan, Girona, and Barcelona from London Stansted, Luton, Liverpool and Southampton; using RyanAir, EasyJet or FlyBe. Flybe have also recently added 2 flights a day between the end of March and end of October from Birmingham to Perpignan.

To reach Prats de Mollo the remainder of the journey will be a choice between: Bus, hire car or taxi.

There is a shuttle bus service between the Perpignan air terminal and the Perpignan SNCF rail station. From the front of the rail station you can catch a bus to Prats de Mollo village.

How to reach us by train

The high speed TGV has a destination here at Perpignan. Again, to reach Prats de Mollo the remainder of the journey will be a choice between: Bus, hire car or taxi.

How to reach us by car

By car, use the Autoroute A9 or the Nationale N9, south bound to the 'le Boulou' exit (the last in France), then take the D115 road for 48km, passing by Ceret, Amelie-les-Bains, Arles-sur-Tec and le Tech before arriving at Prats de Mollo.

Look out for 34 rue du Faubourg immediately before the village centre, it's easily recognisable from brochure photographs.

How to reach us by bus

Several buses a day connect Perpignan to Prats de Mollo from outside the SNCF rail station.

A walk in any direction provides fertile ground for the interests of ramblers, bird watchers and inspiration for any ceramics students. Prats de Mollo Nature Reserve is a short drive up and along the highest road in the region and the most fortunate may spot our Lammergeiers, golden eagles and many more amongst the 80 species the reserve that have been identified.

The inexhaustible number of activities and inactivities range from sauna and massage to golf, tennis, paintballing, bungee forest challenges to The Museum of Modern Art, Dali's Museum in Figueres (Spain), pottery/ceramic programmes on site.
