Les Castors is an extremely spacious apartment situated in Morzine and is just 150m from the main bus routes. It was originally 3 apartments and has been converted into one large property with enviable views over Morzine valley and the side of Pleney.

There are two double bedrooms plus one twin bedroom and an extremely spacious and open plan kitchen/living/diner. There are two single sofa beds in the living room which are easy to use due to the large living space available. There are two bathrooms (one with a bath and a shower) and two separate toilets.

The apartment is a 10 minute walk to the Rue de Bourg where a lot of the bars and cafes are as well as the main supermarket, Carrefour.

The bus stop near to the chalet allows you to access anywhere you like; Avoriaz, Nyon, Pleney, Super Morzine - all the buses stop here on regular occasions. The Nyon car park is just a 3 minute drive away if you want to get up to the slopes as soon as possible and avoid the queues.

There is secure car parking with two covered garages belonging to the property.

Morzine Area Information

The ski resort of Morzine - Avoriaz is in the Haute Savoie region of the French Alps. The resort is the closest of the major alpine ski resorts to Geneva Airport with a transfer time of just over an hour.

Morzine is a traditional alpine town full of charm and bustle with an excellent selection of shops, restaurants and bars. It has its own ski area with lifts taking skiers from the town level of 1000 metres up to over 2000 metres. Many of our clients return to Morzine again and again, often quoting its authentic, traditional Alpine feel as the main reason for their loyalty.

Avoriaz was built by the town of Morzine to ensure visitors to the town have access to guaranteed snow throughout the season with lifts taking skiers up through Avoriaz to a height 2500 metres.

Morzine - Avoriaz is part of the Portes de Soleil, the largest international ski area in the world. With 220 lifts and 600 km of linked pistes partly in France and partly in Switzerland the area is a wonderland for all levels of skier.

All types of skiing are catered for. Snowboards are much in evidence in and around Avoriaz, which has become the unofficial snowboard centre for the Alps. The Stash, the first giant ecological snow park in Europe, is a new concept in snowparks imported from the Californian resort of North Star. It was developed by Jake Burton, famous for his visions on the future of the snowboard.

The broad open pistes and trails around Morzine itself are ideal for beginners and intermediates alike and a centre for cross country skiing is to be found just up the valley from Morzine.

The winter visitor to Morzine will find many attractions apart from the skiing; the Tourist Office ensures that each week there is a programme of activities to entertain and amuse. In addition permanent attractions such as the indoor and outdoor Ice Rinks and the cinemas are always available.

Morzine, in contrast to many other alpine ski resorts, is a town in its own right with a life all year round after the skiers and the snow have disappeared. As a result you will find a full range of shops, bars, cafes, internet cafes, hotels and restaurants. Morzine is particularly proud of the range of eating out on offer, with prices to suit all pockets and food to suit all tastes.
