Situated in a peaceful and panoramic location, immersed in the green hills of the Parco delle Cerbaie and in the Padule di Fucecchio, it boasts its own large private park. It is located in the heart of Tuscany, with the art cities of Pisa, Lucca, Sienna, Florence within easy reach and many lesser know little towns still to be explored nearby.
BALLERINA is on the ground floor and has a large nice dining room with kitchen, 1 double bedrooms, 1 bedroom with bunkbeds and 1 bathroom with shower.
There is a beautiful swimming pool, where you have 2 sunchairs, a little table and a sunshade. There is also a sun terrace with splendid views over the quiet valley and a well equipped barbecue. The apartment is simply furnished, according to the Tuscan tradition and it is ideal for a family. Additional garden table and chairs are available for you to dine and relax al fresco. Private parking.
In Fucecchio and the immediate surroundings there are several typical restaurants, pizzerie, wineries, characteristic shops, shopping centres, sports grounds (tennis, golf, horse-back riding facilities).

Fucecchio is a quiet town, so it is good if you are looking for relaxation, but it is also good if you aim to a little more action.
In less than 1 hour you can be:
On the golden and warm sandy beaches of Viareggio (Tuscany's major resort with an art déco palm-lined promenade), Marina di Pietrasanta or posh Forte dei Marmi swimming, walinkg on sunbathing,
On the Alpi Apuane hiking or rock climbing. Now a park, the Apuane are crisscrossed by numerous marked trails starting from roads and heading deep into the mountains; the biggest concentration of these tracks is in the peaks east of Forte dei Marmi and Pietrasanta, centred on Pania della Croce (1,859m) and Monte Forato (1,223m). Thanks to their position and height, the Apuane are a perfect combination of different ecological habitats,
In the Padule di Fucecchio or on in the Garfagnana (the Serchio valley north of Lucca) birdwatching, there's a good range of signposted walks,
In nearby San Miniato, Monsummano Terme, Vinci or Montecatini Terme playing golf,
In Vinci, Leonardo's birthplace, admiring the background of the Mona Lisa,

Even if the local area is not a mass tourist destination (yet), in most of the restaurants in the immediate surroundings you will find a menu in English or an English speaking patron or waiter. Anyway, you are advised to carry a phrase book unless you speak Italian even if people in general will be very friendly and try to help even if you don't speak a common language.
