Holiday Home Description

The house is located 20 minutes inland from the towns of Denia and Javea, on the outskirts of the quiet rural town of Pedreguer. Situated close to La Sella golf course and within easy reach of good walking country and sandy beaches. The house is set on a hill at the head of the Orba valley, famous for almond and orange groves, with beautiful views of the mountains and the sea. Nearby is the bustling town of Denia with its miles of sandy beaches, a marina, and many restaurants. Upstairs the townhouse has 2 bedrooms, a double and a twin, with a large balcony off the main bedroom and a large bathroom and storage/boiler room. Downstairs there is a lounge/diner, fully fitted kitchen and utility room with toilet and washing machine. There is a TV with SKY and a DVD player with a collection of DVDs. Outside there is an enclosed terrace with a table, 4 chairs and a BBQ. From the terrace is access to the steps leading to the pool. Off road parking is adjacent to the house.

This house is in a very quiet residential area and we ask this to be respected in terms of noise levels. Children are very welcome but it is not suitable for the very young or those with walking difficulties. There are ceiling fans in both bedrooms and in the lounge as well as a floor standing fan for the warmer months. There are also 2 mobile oil filled radiators and a large gas heater which can be placed wherever some background warmth may be required. The bathroom upstairs has a wall mounted electric heater. There is ample bedding including blankets and duvets and pillows. Our neighbour provides the linen change and is a key holder. The community is secure with lockable vehicular and pedestrian gates and also a gate to the pool. The front garden is also gated.

Pedreguer Area Information

The house is located 20 min inland from the towns of Denia and Javea, on the outskirts of the quiet rural town of Pedreguer. Situated close to La Sella golf course and within easy reach of good walking country and sandy beaches. The house is set on a hill at the head of the Orba valley, famous for almond and orange groves, with beautiful views of the mountains and the sea. Nearby is the bustling town of Denia with its miles of sandy beaches, a marina, and many restaurants. The complex is very quiet and we do not consider it suitable for very young children or for those with walking difficulties.

Nightlife: Monte Solana, Pedreguer is a quiet residential area but Benidorm only 35 min drive away has an extensive night life including bars, restaurants and nightclubs. Denia and Javea are both lively in the evenings. In high season there is an evening market at Arenal Beach and on the Denia sea-front.

Inland: Guadalest is a beautiful inland destination with a castle, a number of small shops and bars and stunning mountain scenery. Altea is also very beautiful, with pretty white houses and village square and church set on top of a high hill. Well worth the climb if you are fit enough. The Montgo Nature reserve is a short drive away and offers stunning views over Denia and Javea. A drive through the Val de Gallinera can be quite scary because of the narrow windy roads but worth it because of the spectacular views.

Other activities: Benidorm, 35 min drive away, is famous for its twice weekly huge outdoor market where many a bargain can be found. AitanaSafariparc near Benidorm is amazing with all manner of wild animals including elephants and you may be lucky and get to hold young lion pups. La Marina out of town shopping centre is only 15 min drive away with ten pin bowling and English cinema.

Golf: There are several golf courses in the area, La Sella Championship course being the closest, only 20 min drive away. There are several other golf courses close by in Altea, Calpe and Javea, as well as the Oliver Nova Championship golf course only 25 min drive away.
