Villa 17A - This villa offers the highest standard of comfort and equipment on Casas del Sol. 17A is suited for sun worshippers especially with its two sunloungers on the patio. You can still escape the sun at by sitting under the large canopy!

The villa is located just behind the swimming pool on the end of a small block of 4 villas and has its own private access and benefits from 180 degree sea views - from the beaches of Papagayo at one end to beyond the island of Fuerteventura at the other. For the early risers, the sunrise is beautiful.

There are two small steps that go up to the large sliding patio doors which lead into the open plan lounge, dining area and kitchen.

Lounge: There are two comfortable settees with coffee table and reading lamp. It has a flat screen satellite TV with English channels (showing news, movies, sport and children's channels) - there is also a DVD player. Other items include a large wooden sideboard containing a CD/Radio/Cassette player and a small selection of books and games. (A large selection of books is available at the reception for free use). The lounge also benefits from air conditioning and a large ceiling fan which will keep the inside cool during really hot days (or provide heating on the rare winter nights when temperatures can drop significantly).

The dining area has a good sized table and four chairs.

Kitchen: Marble worktops and stainless steel appliances including: electric oven, fan, halogen hob, fridge and microwave. The kitchen is well equipped with more than enough crockery, cutlery and utensils - there is a toaster and kettle.

Master bedroom: Two single beds which can be put together to make a king sized bed. The beds will already be made upon your arrival. We have put in individual reading lights and bedside lockers. The master bedroom has both air conditioning and a ceiling fan. The window is equipped with security bars is that you can also leave the windows open at night. There is a built in wardrobe providing plenty of storage space as well as a large safe to store you valuables.

Second bedroom: There is a set of bunk beds, a large chest of drawers and the windows also have security bars. We have a small box of toys for young children and you will also find a cot and high chair.

Bathroom: Equipped with a walk in shower which is practical for all especially the less mobile. The wooden vanity unit provides plenty of storage space and come sequipped with bathroom scales and a hairdryer.

Playa Blanca Area Information

Playa Blanca is located at the southern-most tip of Lanzarote and is fast becoming one of the island's finest tourist areas. Almost always basked in warm sunshine and with the sea a constant calm, clear blue, Playa Blanca is a holiday maker's paradise. There are superb views of the mountains and the islands of Lobos and Fuerteventura across the water. It is also home to the Canary Islands best beaches at Papagayo. If it's lazy days in the sun you are looking for, this is the ideal place.

Over the past few years Playa Blanca, originally a small fishing village has been transformed into one of the islands main tourist areas. Thankfully, been subject to strict planning regulations, it has kept it's small village feel and has been protected from huge tall buildings and mass, uncontrolled development as seen in other Spanish resorts.

Quieter than the other main resorts, Playa Blanca is fantastic for couples and families who want to spend the day around the pool or at the beach and their nights enjoying fine food at one of many international restaurants.

You will find friendly, welcoming people, a great choice of shops and restaurants as well as a pleasant laid back atmosphere in wonderful surroundings.

Just opposite the entrance to Casas Del Sol is the harbour and the 7km (4 miles) long pedestrian walkway which leads to the Pechiguera lighthouse one way and to the other the new upmarket Marina Rubicorn which is a must see with its array of boats, chic boutiques and restaurants.

The little harbour at Playa Blanca not only acts a host to visiting yachtsmen and the local fishermen but is also the main terminal for the frequent daily car ferry service to the neighbouring island of Fuerteventura.

To the right of the harbour is the Punta Limones centre where you will find banks, car hire, electric bike hire, fishing hire, hairdressers, gift shops etc as well as a Spar supermarket. This is also an entertainment centre with an array of bars, restaurants and nightclubs.

To the left of the harbour is the centre of Playa Blanca. Here you will find everything you need with lots of shops, businesses and restaurants. It is mainly pedestrianised and has a great atmosphere at anytime during the day.
