The house represents an important work of historicism (gothic revival and new renaissance)and has a complex façade design and history. Gutschow House was built in 1895 and it is the only house in the southern Friedrichstraße that 100% survived the 2nd World War.
THE BEST FOR OUR HOLIDAY GUEST: The apartment will be until the end of june completely ecologically refurbished. ALL non-bearing WALLS were REMOVED built of clay by CLAYTEC. All load-bearing walls were freed from plaster and washed with sodium carbonate. Tests were made using the standard of measuring organic architecture (SBM-2003) in order to find the best place to sleep (see pictures). The result: a sunny (south side) with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (red travertine tiles, Philip Stark design, Schluter-Bekotek Therm-floor heating), a living room with solid wood kitchen by Göhring, oiled oak plank laid floating, shielded power lines.
The rates include 7% local tax (VAT) and are in an occupancy of 1 to 4 people. Linen and towels are included in the rental price. For each more person will be charged an additional 20 Euro per night. Children under 7 years old free, age 7 to 18 years 50%.
Cleaning: 80 Euro by occupancy of four . Additional heating charge of 10 Euro per day from November until April.
Costs for electricity (0.30 EUR per kWh) and water (6.50 EUR per cubic meter) will be charged on.
On request: baby bed, baby chair, babysitting services, bicycle rental and shopping service.
Payment Methods
Bank or PayPal transfer as rental confirmation.
For PayPal we charge 1,9% for Euro-transfers from the European Community; all the other countries 3,9% for Euro-Transfers.
Half of the rental due immediately as confirmation of the reservation.
Full amount due 30 days prior to arrival.
Damage Deposit: 250 Euro
Cancellations
We want to give you as much flexibility as possible. Therefore bookings can be cancelled or changed at anytime. A full refund minus 20 Euro will be made only if somebody else will book the dates you cancelled, otherwise the booking dates can be changed with available ones for the rental prices of the new period you choose, but no refund can be made. For unavoidable circumstances we advice you to make a travel insurance. But even without insurance: you will not lose your money if you can choose other free dates.
Please note we have a non smoking policy,there is no disabled access and no elevator.
The owners speaks fluent English,German,Chinese,Russian,Romanian and Georgian.
