Holiday Home Description
The large patio and south-facing terrace of our Dalmatian beach apartment are shaded by olive, orange, lemon and mandarin trees while vines and kiwi give shade in the parking area.
Failte is a garden-level apartment so there are no stairs to negotiate and the promenade and beaches are reached by a quiet almost flat roadway.
Our two neighbours are friendly Croatian families who speak a little english.
In 2006 we had Failte totally refurbished to a high standard and it is really more a home away from home than your typical holiday let.
The kitchen is equipped with full cooker, extractor fan, microwave oven, under-sink water-heater, and dishwasher. There is also a juicer, coffee percolator and toaster.
For dining there is an oval table and chairs for six.
The living room is air-conditioned. Here you will find Satilite TV, DVD player, radio, tape and CD player.
Patio doors lead outside to the terrace where you can enjoy al fresco meals or a glass or two of superb locally-produced wine in the shade of our lemon trees.
The master bedroom en-suite and the second bedroom are both of good size with plenty of storage.
Bedroom 3 is smaller but has two full size single beds, a wardrobe and dressing table.
Bathrooms.
Each of the two bathrooms has its own hot water tank ensuring an adequate supply for showers etc.
There is also a toilet and wash-hand-basin in the utility room where you will find the washing machine, iron, ironing board and some beach equipment, buckets and spades etc.

Entertainment at/near our beach-holiday apartment.
There is a selection of DVDs, videos, books and board games for your use in Failte. There are a couple of english news channels and many of the films shown are in their original language with Croatian sub-titles.
You will find sand-buckets and spades as well as bowls in the utility room. There are courts for playing bowles (petanca) near Trstenica beach only 5 minutes walk away.
Cars, Bicycles, Canoes, Kayaks, Boats, Surf-boards & Scooters are available to rent locally.
Our agents office is only 100 metres away. Ivo, Nina or Tina will help organize tours, book diving trips, suggest excursions and they are there daily for advice and assistance during your holiday.
Viganj, renowned for international wind-surfing competitions, has a number of schools where wind-surfing equipment can be rented and training given if required.
The Jadrolinija international car ferry operating between Rijeka and Bari calls to Korcula every day and can be an interesting way of traveling to/from Rijeka, Dubrovnik, Split or Hvar.
DUBROVNIK (DBV) airport is only 2.5 hours drive on the beautiful Adriatic Highway.
