Turkish Delight in beautiful Bodrum!

If you want to simply chill by the pool or lounge by the deep blue Aegean Sea, this is the place for you. Turkey has glorious sunshine for much of the year so this really is an all-year round location. Flamingo Country Club is named because of the many flamingos that can be seen on Tuzla Lake. The lake attracts a wide variety of flamingos, pelicans and other birds and wildlife. There is plenty of varied wildlife in the immediate surrounding area, complementing wonderfully the natural beauty.

The location is quiet and peaceful, yet only 20 minutes from Bodrum providing easy access to all amenities. You can visit the harbour, the local markets, and the many excellent restaurants in the town. From Bodrum you can take a boat out and enjoy the magnificent Aegean Sea. If you are moré adventurous and fancy going slightly further, you can take a day trip to the nearby Greek island of Kos.

More things to do later, but what about the apartment?

It is a fresh and new ground floor apartment offering all you would expect with air-conditioning throughout. The lounge / dining area provides good living space with the kitchen next to it. The main bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite shower room, the second bedroom has two single beds. There is a separate bathroom. Comfortably sleeping four guests, you can also sleep more on the two double sofa beds in the lounge if required. You can sit outside on the patio chairs and enjoy breakfast absorbing the stunning views of the resort and surrounding area. With sun loungers by the pools, you can relax and enjoy taking in the hot Turkish sun in private.

This is an ideal place to stay for your perfect all year round holiday. The apartment offers great views of the resort to the hills and mountains beyond. It is close to one of several communal swimming pools and is highly suitable for everyone. The resort also has a wonderful spa enabling you to relax still further with a sensuous massage.

Bodrum Peninsula Area Description

Turkey’s Aegean coast comprises a wonderful mixture of stunning sea and mountain views, allied to beautiful and interesting landscapes. The Toros Mountains form the backdrop for much of the coastline, in parts dropping steeply into the sea. Tuzla itself lies along the most westerly part of the Bodrum Peninsula. Bodrum is one of Turkey’s longest established resorts. The town, with its yachting port, and the immediate vicinity is a favourite holiday destination for locals and visitors alike. The area is steeped in history, most notably for one of the 7 wonders of the ancient world, the Mausoleum of Halcarnassos.

With a shoreline dotted by charming and peaceful fishing villages, the area offers both tranquillity and vibrancy. The climate in this part of Turkey has a strong Mediterranean similarity with long, hot, dry summers ranging from 20c to 35c in peak season. Falling back to a very pleasant 24c in October, the mild winters make it an ideal all-year round holiday destination. The best beaches are just outside Bodrum at Gumbet and Bitez whilst Yalikavak close-by is a beautiful fishing village. Other places worth a visit are the sunken ruins of ancient Mindos at Gumusluk at the far end of the Peninsula.

If you are the energetic type, there are several dive centres in Bodrum as the area is considered to be the prettiest on the Aegean for scuba diving and snorkelling. Or you can take a boat trip to one of the many secluded beaches along the coast. Whatever you choose to do in your stay, you will have a wonderful holiday for sure.
