L'Echerbaudière is situated in Northern Mayenne on the outskirts of St Denis de Gastines and close to the towns of Ernée and Mayenne. Set in over 3 acres of private gardens, surrounded by the Mayenne countryside, it is the perfect rural retreat, offering a peaceful relaxing holiday.
L'Ancienne Maison has been tastefully renovated to offer modern, comfortable, accommodation that is suitable for families or groups. It is the perfect location for those wishing to explore the interesting Mayenne region or some of the relatively nearer French tourist attractions and for those seeking leisure facilities: horse-riding, cycling, walking, fishing, golf and swimming etc, are all close by.
L'Ancienne maison lounge/kitchen/diner with it's exposed beams and feature stone walls benefits from a modern fully equipped kitchen with an oven, hob, extractor, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave etc and all the necessary crockery and cutlery. The dining table and chairs caters for up to 6 people.
In the lounge area there is a settee and also a sofa bed providing enough seating to everybody and the wood burning fire provides additional comfort during the cooler months and the perfect relaxation spot with a glass of wine and a good book. For your entertainment there is UK TV via satellite and a DVD/video player along with several board games and books. There is an interconnecting door that leads into L'Arch that is locked and secured unless both gîtes are rented together.
The woodern staircase from the lounge leads up to the two comfortable bedrooms and the family bathroom. The main bedroom has a double bed whilst the second bedroom contains twin beds. Electric heaters are provided for both bedrooms during the colder months. The bathroom is fully equipped with a shower facilities in the bath.
Next door to L'Arch you will find the door that leads up to our large games room with it's high vaulted ceiling provides pool/snooker, darts, baby-football, large chess set, TV/DVD/ video and numerous other games, puzzles and books. Separate WC.
All bed linen and towels (except swimming towels) are provided. Baby facilities (cot, high chair and stair gate) can be provided upon request, free of charge.
Guests have the full use of the upper lawn, where you will find the large above ground pool (which is solar heated from June - September (weather permitting)), patio area with garden furniture and sun loungers, BBQ facilities and table tennis. At the side of the building is the paddock which is ideal for children to play ball games etc and here you can also find the badminton net for those you may fancy a game or two.
For guests that might wish to take a walk there is a bridal path that starts on the doorstep (We also have some of the local maps that can be borrowed for those who may wish to venture slightly further a field) and we also have some bicycles available for guest use.
