Holiday Home Description
This interesting building, built in 1938 is recorded in the archives of the Air Defence of Great Britain as a repeater station before being converted in the 1980's specifically to be used as a Guest House.
It has recently been changed to self catering accommodation. Nairn is a few minutes drive away with its award winning beaches and famous golf courses. Inverness, capital of the Highlands is 15 miles away. Within easy reach there are many Historic buildings including Cawdor Castle and Brodie Castle in addition to the Cairngorm mountains and Loch Ness. So whether you are looking for a quiet relaxing holiday, golfing retreat or action packed walking or cycling holiday we have something for everyone.
This house benefits from a large garden which is overlooked from an impressive 30 foot conservatory and affords picturesque views over the surrounding countryside. Gallows Hill can be seen from the property which is reputed to be the site where the infamous Queen of Scottish witches, Isobel Gowdie, was tried and executed in 1662 for witchcraft. Isobel's story has been recorded in several books and songs.
On the ground floor we have three bedrooms, two double and one twin, all with en-suite showers and toilets. Each bedroom also benefits from individual wall mounted televisions. One of the double and twins can be combined into a family suite. In addition downstairs there is a large living room/ dining room , kitchen, bathroom and conservatory.
