Holiday Home Description

This restored, charming and intimate Victorian home is the owners’ winter residence and is ideal if you want to stay away from commercial properties. The residence occupies about 2000 sq ft of the main and second floor of a four storey Victorian house, and is available from May to October. It can accommodate a small group or up to nine guests, but you will be charged only for the number of bedrooms you use and the number of guests in your party and will have the exclusive use of the residence.

The residence retains its original stained glass windows and is furnished with antiques and family heirlooms.

You will relax in the evening breeze on the deck, ready for a candlelight dinner or for a fun barbeque and will enjoy a lovely view of the city and the mountains from the master bedroom and bathroom.

Custom-made beds, two-hundred-counts 100% cotton linen and custom made mattresses will insure you the best comfort while you sleep.

The professional kitchen features custom made cabinets, marble counter top, professional gas stove, fridge, dishwasher, upright freezer, microwave, all the utensils.

In one of the bathrooms you will soak in bubbles floating in the original bear-claw-foot tub.

We really enjoyed our stay at your house. We somewhat felt at home. I am an art historian and independent curator from Montreal. I looked at the magazines featuring Carlo’s work and I appreciated Maria’s paintings and drawings presented in the house. She somewhat has a sense of color and something affirmative in the line of her drawings. I also wish I could have been able to attend her school when I was young. There is some of your liveliness in the house and I appreciated that feel. I also enjoyed the neighbourhood, close to everything from UBC to downtown. Welcome back next Tuesday. Thank you

Centrally located, this residence is two short blocks away from Broadway, a main artery that allows easy connection to UBC University, the beaches and the downtown area on one side and Commercial Avenue, with its famous café and restaurants, on the other side.

It is two blocks away from Clark, your fastest connection to the airport and to Freeway 99 to Seattle; one block away from 12th Ave, the direct connection to Trans-Canada Highway 1.
