Holiday Home Description
Casa Coniglio is located in the village of Almancil close to the popular beach resorts and championship golf courses, Vale de Lobo and Quinta do Lago. Almancil is only ten minutes away from the market town of Loule and just approximately 20 minutes from Faro airport. There is a good selection of restaurants, cafes and boutiques as well as a Michelin star restaurant.
Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac, you can swim in the heated pool and have a glass of wine on the balcony whilst enjoying a panoramic view of the Algarve and its wonders, the sea,the RIa Formoso nature reserve and, of course, the sunset(which can also be viewed from the roof top terrace).
The villa has 4 double en-suite bedrooms dining and living room, a fully equip kitchen and a Bar Area. A family apartment with en-suite double bedroom, dining/living/study rooms, sofa beds , adjacent private patio/ Adjacent cottage with double bedroom en-suite, patio.
The villa is air conditioned in the Living/ Dining Area and can sleep 12 adults owing to its impressive 400 square metre area (4,000 square feet for those of us that still work in old money!).
The accommodation comprises of:
-Three en-suite twin bedrooms each with plenty of wardrobe space and picturesque original features
-All the bedrooms are equipped of cool air fans, Dining/ living rooms with Air-conditioning system.
-Three en-suite double bedrooms with cool air fan.
-Two additional sofa beds
-A guest bathroom complete with ‘Mr and Mrs’ wash hand basins
-A living room equipped with Satellite TV (including the BBC) a DVD player and picturesque fire place
-Dining space for up to 12, which looks out onto the balcony and swimming pool
-A large kitchen space with breakfast table and modern appliances to allow you to self cater if you wish
-Outside there is a 10metre heated pool, 3 separate tiled sun terraces and a panoramic view of the sea and coastline of the Algarve.
The Pool and Roof Terrace
The entrance steps wind their way past a pretty flower bed and the fragrantly scented bell shaped flowers of a lovely Datura tree, up to the main terrace and pool. Another set of steps lead from here to the roof terrace from which there are magnificent panoramic views over nearly thirty miles of the coastline as far as Armacao de Pera to the west and beyond Faro to the east..
The vignette to the left is the view from the French windows of the Master Bedroom with the sea visible (heat haze permitting!) all along the horizon. The terrace extends round two sides of the living room, some of it shaded by the overhang of the roof terrace (on the left, the view from the roof terrace). The lower terrace is several metres wide and provides more than enough room for the eight sun loungers, two patio tables with sun umbrellas and their eight dining chairs (more if requested) provided. The pool can be heated on request.
The Gardens
The quiet and secluded walled garden at the rear of the villa is small but spectacular thanks to the profusion of bougainvilleas covering its walls and the many other specimen tropical plants in the flower beds. It features a little fountain in one corner, a built in barbecue and a shady floral pergola with a tiled dining table. There is concealed lighting amongst the flower beds which makes this a very romantic place to be on those long balmy summer evenings. Few experiences are more enjoyable than sitting in the pergola eating your charred barbecued chicken legs and spare ribs, sipping your glass of chilled Vinho Verde and listening to the tinkling of the fountain and the chirping of the crickets
