Provence is famous for its gourmet food and Nice being close to the Italian border has a strong Italian feel to its cuisine. Monaco, Italy, Antibes, Cannes are all within 40 minutes by train. Many return to Nice year after year to enjoy the 6km Promenade des Anglais, the buzz of the old town, the range of shopping oppurtunities as well as the food, history and culture. Nice also has many festival such as the Carnaval in Feburary/ March and the Nice Jazz Festival each July.
