The popularity of golf in Spain has increased dramatically over the last few years. Because it has become so popular, the number of golf courses has also increased.
The country found itself in the golfing spotlight back in 1997 when the famous Ryder Cup was held at Sotogrande’s Valderrama. Some of the world’s most luxurious golf courses are in Spain and the Costa del Sol (or Costa del Golf as it has become known) has some of the most sought after spots and the courses in this area are truely world class!
