At Perfect Getaways, our dedication to supporting the local community has been a cornerstone of our business since we opened our doors in 2017. We believe in giving back and making a positive impact, especially through our support of local charities. Over the years, our commitment has only grown stronger, and we are proud to share some of the ways we have contributed to our community.
Our Journey of Giving
From the very beginning, each of our stores has been actively involved in various charitable activities. Our Isle of Man store, for instance, participate in an annual Christmas Gift Appeal, successfully donating over 100 toys to children in the local area. This initiative brought joy to many young hearts during the festive season.
Our Little Sutton branch has been a steadfast supporter of the Clatterbridge Cancer Charity. Through numerous fundraising events, they have contributed significantly over the years. Meanwhile, our Kirkby and Bebington stores have taken on the role of donation centres for the local foodbanks, ensuring that those in need have access to essential supplies.
Company-Wide Efforts
In addition to individual store initiatives, we also come together as a company to support various causes. Recently, we raised an impressive £1,162 for Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice. Each store came up with creative fundraising ideas, from sponsored walks to buffet lunches, demonstrating our collective commitment to making a difference.
Recognizing Community Heroes
Our dedication to charity work has not gone unnoticed. We are incredibly proud to have had two members of our staff recognized as community heroes in the TTG Awards for two consecutive years. In 2022, our managing director, Nicola, was honoured for integrating charity work into the core of our operations. Under her leadership, we raised over £12,500 for local causes and provided invaluable support to travellers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The following year, Michael from our Kirkby store received the same accolade. Known for his unwavering commitment to the community, Michael has been instrumental in various charitable activities. From hand-delivering tickets and travel documents to elderly customers to raising funds for Liverpool’s Pride event, Michael’s efforts have made a significant impact. He also maintained collection boxes in-store for the local food bank and organises Christmas gift collections for disadvantaged children.
Looking Ahead to 2025
As we move forward into 2025, our commitment to supporting local charities remains unwavering. We have pledged to donate £100 to a local charity in each of our store locations throughout the year. To ensure that these donations go to causes that matter most to our community, we will be gathering nominations from our store Facebook pages and conducting polls to determine the recipients.
